Once hailed as Ghana’s brightest musical talent, set to conquer the world, Kiki Gyan’s decline due to drugs and excess after only a few releases is a sad story. Some of his excellent music is still left as a testament to his skill, including this superb disco cut that actually charted in the US and UK in 1979. With one of the genre’s funkiest intros, all soaring strings and dramatic bass riffs, this one still has the power to fill a dancefloor like little else. It’s part of a legacy which should be treasured.
